I am a game and application developer based in London.
I have been working in the web industry since 2000, although prior to this I had dabbled with building websites and had some ZX Spectrum adventure games published back in the late 80s and early 90s.
I have worked on static websites, web applications, interactive television, mobile sites (whatever happened to WAP anyway?), CD-ROMs and art installations with Director and Flash, web and mobile games. Since 2008 I have been involved heavily in Facebook applications and games and was a co-founder of a US-based startup exploring ways to mix shopping and gaming.
My core skills are in HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS on the front end and C# and PHP on the server side. I have worked with MySQL and MSSQL databases at a non-DB Admin level and have reasonable proficiency with Java, if there's an existing framework and environment to work within.
I have spoken at a few events, was an ad-hoc writer for Inside Facebook (now Social Times), and had a book on HTML5 game development published in 2015.
